Pilots of
English and Maths entry assessments
For literacy, numeracy and ESOL initial teacher training
programmes
- exemplar entry assessments for English
(at L3)
- exemplar entry assessments for Maths (at
L3)
As part of the QIA Skills for Life Improvement Programme, LLU+
have been commissioned to develop and pilot entry assessments to
meet the new criteria for entry to the Diplomas in teaching
Numeracy, Literacy and ESOL in the lifelong learning sector. These
new assessments will be piloted between January and March 2008 and,
subsequently, a range of assessments will be available for
organisations to use, through the Skills for Life Improvement
Programme. As a first step, LLU+ are building up a collection of
sample entry assessments that are being used by teacher-training
providers; if you would be prepared to share your entry
assessments, please send them to Judith Kirsh at LLU+.
If you would like to pilot the examplar entry assessments
please contact Judith to express your interest.
